JKL has recruited two new consultants to join a new EU team to meet the increasing demand for EU advice from Nordic clients.

Sebastian Cederschiöld and Henrik Bernitz, have wide ranging experience through working in Brussels and Sweden.

- “Many of the issues our clients work with have clear EU dimensions. In recent years, these issues have become an ever more integrated part of public affairs initiatives at these companies. This has resulted in many companies wanting to go further than merely working with sector and interest group organisations. Establishing an EU team within JKL means we can offer our Nordic clients integrated advice,” says Anders Lindberg, a JKL Group partner.

Sebastian Cederschiöld (32) took a law degree from Stockholm University. His previous experience includes acting as assistant legal advisor to the former president of the European Parliament, Nicole Fontaine, a freelance consultant in Brussels and a project manager for The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. He has also been a chair of the European Youth Parliament and had political assignments as a member of the Stockholm City Council and as a group leader in the Norrmalm District Committee.

Henrik Bernitz (33) studied at Uppsala University and the London School of Economics. He has previously worked as an advisor to a vice chair of the European Parliament in Brussels, as a freelance advisor and writer, as a researcher on the Swedish TV 4 morning news programme and has started a newspaper.

Sebastian Cederschiöld and Henrik Bernitz are joining JKL at the end of March. They will be based at the JKL Stockholm Office but will work with all our Nordic offices and on site in Brussels.
